This Privacy Policy explains how Queen City Acupuncture & Wellness Center ("we," "us," or "our"), operating the website qcawellness.com (the "Site"), collects, uses, and protects information about visitors to the Site.
Please note: This policy applies to information collected through this website. It does not describe how we handle protected health information (PHI) created or maintained as part of your treatment. Those practices are described in our separate Notice of Privacy Practices, which is provided to patients at their first visit and available upon request. Where the two documents differ with respect to PHI, the Notice of Privacy Practices controls.

Information you give us directly. When you submit a contact form, request an appointment, subscribe to updates, or otherwise reach out through the Site, we may collect:

Email address
Phone number
Any information you choose to include in a message field, including reason for visit or symptoms
Please do not submit detailed health information through web forms or email. These channels are not encrypted end-to-end and are not a secure way to transmit sensitive health details. Call our office instead.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our hosting provider and analytics tools may automatically collect:
IP address and approximate geographic location
Browser type, device type, and operating system
Pages viewed, time spent, and referring website
Cookie and device identifiers
Information from advertising. We advertise our services online. Advertising platforms may place cookies or similar technologies on your device to measure ad performance and show relevant ads.

We retain website inquiry information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Clinical records are retained according to North Carolina record retention requirements and are addressed in our Notice of Privacy Practices.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of certain uses. To make a request, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Patients have separate rights regarding their medical records under HIPAA and North Carolina law, described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
8. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. If you believe a child has provided us information through the Site, please contact us and we will delete it.
