Acupuncture and Shockwave Therapy for Managing Chronic Neck and Shoulder Pain: Josh’s Story
Josh is a physical therapist and veteran who was injured during his deployment. The military injury left him with chronic neck and shoulder pain. He attempted to manage his own care through PT and massage techniques, but says that eventually the pain level became too great and that he had trouble reaching certain areas on himself. He says that getting acupuncture treatment is like being able to get to the itch that you just can’t scratch. Josh’s pain level has returned to a manageable level and he continues to seek acupuncture as a way of keeping the pain tamped down.
